A few days later Sydney had a birthday party for a friend to go to. They were ice skating, and Sydney could not wait. She has been wanting to ice skate for a long time. I told her she would fall quite a few times, but it wouldn't hurt! The mom, Suzie, called me after the party had started, and said Sydney fell, and might have hurt her ankle. I said OK and asked John to go pick her up. After an hour they still weren't back, and no one was answering their phones there, and I was starting to cry because I am a woman, and I am emotional. Anyway, they finally came home and John said he thought she had broken her leg. Well, the rest of this long story short is we spent the night in the ER. She has a spiral break on her tibia. They didn't dare cast it there because they wanted us to see an orthepedic surgeon first. She is in a full leg cast for 4 weeks, and then hopefully a walking cast for another few weeks.
She is a total trooper. She is handling it like a champ. So much I could learn from her. We are now both waiting for the day we can have a ball again, and Cinderella is back up dancing.

OH no!! That does not sound like fun for anyone!! I feel so bad for her. Glad she is a trooper and I hope the next few weeks go by quickly for her (and you!). Miss you...time sure flies by!!
I do not look forward to the day my Sydney has her first major injury, but Sydney looks like she is doing very well.
Good Luck,
Christy
Sorry!!! Unfortunately I can relate. Those darn casts are not fun. Hope she gets feeling better soon. Maybe we should get together after the leg heals. It looks like life will be a little busy for you for a least four weeks. I will call you. (Yeah we know how that goes, follow up on me when you don't hear from me in a few weeks)
My kids are so amazed by her. I hear when she is at school, church and that her cast just got changed. Kaci and Jake pray for her and Kaci refers to her as Jake's friend with the hurt leg. Glad she is healing. What a great example she is to my kids. Thanks for teaching her to be so amazing and such a great example.
It doesn't look like fun! I hope she feels better soon!
Sorry that Sydney broke her leg. It is not any fun to have a kid with a broken body part. She looks like she is handling it better than my little princess did. Tell her to get better quickly. Miss you!
