We decided to try to make our bread today (without a bread maker). We were using some wheat my grandma has at our house that was kind of old, so we needed to sort it out before we ground it into flour. The kids thought it was a great project, so Dave would scoop up the wheat onto a cookie sheet that John would look through. Then he would pass on the good stuff to Sydney. I took it from Sydney and put it in the wheat grinder. It was a lot more fun than it would have been without their help! The bread is still rising, I'll let you know how it turns out!

So how was the bread? And what did you do with the yucky/old wheat?
Aunt Nancy
The bread was actually good. Very hearty tasting because we used red wheat. For the wheat, we kept what was good, and threw away the bad stuff!
